What Hybrid Car To Buy

There have been many studies recently in extended range electric vehicles. It takes the concept of a plug in battery to the next level.

It runs off of battery power for 40 miles or so and then gasoline or a soy based gasoline after those 40 miles. If you live in a small town or do not have a lengthy drive to or from work you essentially never need to buy gasoline of any kind. You just plug in the car to an electrical outlet at night while you are sleeping and the battery is charged up and ready to go for the day when you wake up.

The cars are also working toward becoming more consumer friendly with all the bells and whistles of a regular car or even luxury car.

The MSU team has been working hard to not only perfect this hybrid vehicle but also to create consumer awareness of the adavantages of owning a hybrid vehicle. Outreach and eductation are the main things that will drive consumers to "want" to purchase hybrids instead of feeling that they "need" to purchase them. In the long run, consumers will save money by using hybrid vehicles, especially the type designed by MSU's engineers. Get involved... GO GREEN!
