Euro Chevy Matiz now available with LPG conversion

Filed under: Chevrolet , Natural Gas , European Union Click the Matiz for a high res gallery German company farhrmitgas has just produced a concept Chevy Matiz that has been converted to run on LPG. The LPG Matiz is claimed to be able to run 100 km on only 3 Euros worth of fuel. Fahrmitgas is a supplier of LPG conversion systems that are optimized for specific vehicles.

GM’s Jon Laukner claims engine plant delay won’t slow Volt

General Motors introduces 2 new direct injected engines for 2010

The latest addition to the EcoTec four cylinder family is a normally aspirated 2.4L with variable valve timing. The four cylinder engine has dished pistons and an 11.4:1 compression ratio.

GM delays building Volt engine plant in Flint

In a much quieter announcement today, GM said that construction on the plant will be delayed . The reasons: the poor economy and GM’s lack of money.
